Ride Area Description:

Hanceville, AL

Chigger Ridge
Type of Riding Place: Trails

20,000 acres of hills, hollers, powerlines, wooded trails,
hillclimbs and fire roads. Excellent place to ride, but many
areas are to difficult for small children, ladies or the
underpowered crowd. 2-strokes, 4x4 atvs, or big-bores will
have a blast. Don't ride alone here! All of the trails are
natural terrain (read: rocky, rutted, steep and ever-changing!)
no facilities at the trailhead, but you can get gas or food
at exit 299!
Directions: Take Interstate 65 to exit 299, go Northeast approx 2-3
miles to Johnson Crossing crossroads, turn right. Go approx
2 miles to where the power lines cross the road. Turn left
into parking lot/staging area. This ride spot is in Cullman
County, approx 45 miles north of Birmingham, or 45 miles
south of the Decatur/Huntsville area.
